sharpener September 6, 2010 tes1177 It looked nice on tv. But the diamond fingers lost the diamond coating after a few uses.

Do you choose the number of stars based on the service provided by the seller or the actual product...which may have nothing to do with the seller? My 5-star rating is for the seller, not necessarily the product. This item arrived promptly and seems to work fine, though I've only used it a couple times. Does anyone know if you can just use a regular sharpening stick on Furi knives?
OK for touch ups August 7, 2010 L. Ballard (Utah) Not for putting a good edge on a dull knife. If you're skilled use a whet stone. If not, use a system like a Smith sharpening system. Once you have a good edge it will help keep it that way.
Not well constructed. The ears designed to hold the case closed and the knife from hitting your counter come off after some use.
Overall just OK.
A Great sharpener for the price! August 5, 2010 Carolyn P. (South Carolina) I have never found a better sharpener for the price. Of course you can get better ones if you want to pay hundreds of dollars. This one works well for my needs and didn't take a huge chunk out of my finances. I would definitely replace it if it disappeared. One of the greatest things about it is that it doesn't wear me out sharpening either. Just a few swipes with the knife and voila! Done and sharp as I want it.
Don't waste your money July 17, 2010 Cal I purchased this item from Amazon a few months ago based on all the positive reviews. Silly me should have known it was too good to be true. It does make knives somewhat sharper, though the edge doesn't last long. My main issue now is that the sharpening surfaces are not part of the metal fingers and one of them just fell off as I was using it. I guess I shouldn't expect anything else for the price. Guess I'm back in the market for a knife sharpener.
