Product Description
The best known of all Shaker chairs is the so-called "slat back" or straight chair from the Canterbury, N.H. community. The tall back posts with their delicately rounded finials and the smooth curved slats give it a look of grace and beauty. The rock maple frame, carefully turned and fitted, and the heavy-duty chair tape give it incredible strength. Infinitely adaptable for use in any room. Shown in medium stain. Each furniture kit contains all materials needed, except the final finish, including sandpaper, hardware, and simple step-by-step instructions. Kits are supplied with Medium Wiping Stain. Over the stain, a final finish is required. Your local hardware store can supply varnish (ask for satin or eggshell). Height of back 42". Height of seat 17". Width 18 3/4". Depth 14".
