Product Description
The Pavina espresso/shot glass is the winner of the European iF Design Award. This set consists of two espresso or shot glasses, each one with a 2-ounce capacity. Mouth-blown, the espresso/shot glasses are double-walled which help insulates hot or cold beverages. With this unique design, your beverage appears to float inside the inner layer of clear glass. Dishwasher-safe.

Amazon.com Review
At last, a glass that won't burn or freeze your hand. Two walls of clear glass with an air layer in-between not only keep drinks cold--or hot--but prevent condensation from forming on the outside. So, an ice-cold shot of vodka or a steamy espresso feels just right, no matter the temperature. And coasters won't be needed, either.

Winner of the prestigious European iF Design Award, the mouth-blown Pavina glass exhibits Bodum's flair for the modern. Each two-ounce glass curves beguilingly and fits the palm just right. Mouth-blown of borosilicate glass, which is quite a bit thinner yet much more durable than regular glass, the two Pavina glasses in this set are safe for both the microwave and dishwasher, resist temperature swings, and resist scratching and dulling. Care should be taken when placing ice cubes in an empty glass, and metal spoons for stirring are discouraged. --Ann Bieri

Editor's Note: Because each glass is mouth-blown, each one may have slight differences in height, thickness, and weight. Bodum recommends using care when placing ice into the glass to avoid fracturing the inner layer. You should also avoid using metal spoons or placing the glass into a crowded dishwasher.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Espresso Glasses   August 30, 2010
C.J. Frost (AZ)
I bought my husband an Espresso Machine last year for Christmas. I had no idea which type of espresso/shot glass to purchase, but I saw these and liked that the description said they were "double-wall thermo" glasses. Plus, they were a good-looking pair. I also bought him a gift-set of espresso coffee from Starbucks that included their espresso/shot glasses.

These Bodum glasses are absolutely awesome! They are the perfect size (and if you use an espresso machine, you know what I mean - it makes a huge difference) and you do not burn your fingers at all when you go to grab your espresso from the machine. I cannot say the same for the "other" brand, which are horrible. And, I get burned each time I have used them. They are a back-up set, but hardly used.

This is the second set of Bodum glasses that I have purchased as I dropped one last week. I would not buy anything else.....like I said, these are awesome!

5 out of 5 stars Nice Little Cup   August 29, 2010

Nice little cup. Keeps the product hot enough without burning your fingers. I need to get a little demitasse spoon, since my regular spoon is too big to stir in the sugar.

4 out of 5 stars Bodum Espresso Glasses   August 21, 2010

These are much better than the original ones I bought before. These are a bit heavier and stronger. The originals were too thin and broke very easily.

2 out of 5 stars Started off so good, then not so much   August 16, 2010
Anthony Colon (Bronx, NY)
I was super duper excited to get these glasses. I had been eyeing them for so long to use in my Keurig mini brewer. When I received them they were so light and I loved the "modern" design. Right away the glasses were too light to use in my brewer so I was freaking out. Then I put a plate under the glass to use it. I figured ok dissapointed but no biggie. I was hand washing them. With a sponge. I used hot/ cold as it says you could. One day the glass just cracked on the bottom on it's own as the other reviewer had wrote. So I am super dissapointed. I also have cheap ikea glasses that have lasted years without any cracks so what's the point in paying more ?? I will try and contact the company to see if they'd replace... I hope so.. I actually bought the 8.5 oz or 9.oz one but I know these are all the same

5 out of 5 stars All four intact after a year (2oz espresso)   August 15, 2010
Gary L Virta
I've used these daily for about a year and haven't had any breakage problems even though they've gone in the washer a few times. Normally they are hand-washed right after use. A couple of times one should have broken (it hit a granite countertop) but didn't.

We've had other Bodum glassware that was extremely fragile (9 oz tumblers and 12 oz highballs of a different style with the old silicone plug) but these have been much better, most likely due to the smaller size. The newer disc-style plug seems to do a better job than the old glued-in silicone. None of them have leaked yet, which is more than I can say for the other cups we had.

They keep my espresso hot and my fingers cool and they hold their own on the top of the machine with the rest of the ceramic banging around up there.
