Product Description This attractive pitcher is made in Italy of Duralex tempered glass, which is thermal shock resistant and dishwasher safe. It comes with a white plastic lid and stirrer and includes an ice insert which screws onto the lid, so your drinks don't get diluted when the ice melts. Drips all over the place July 19, 2010 Kirk Matthews (Seattle, WA USA) We've been using this pitcher on a daily basis for the last year and while overall it works ok, it has one fatal flaw. We cannot pour a liquid out of it without dripping liquid all over the floor or counter. For every glass poured you have to get the kitchen towel or a paper towel. Regardless if it is me, my wife or my 12 y.o. son pouring, it always seems to drip and require cleanup.
Also, the ice holder we got rid of into the recycling bin soon after getting the kit and the stirring stick broke in half after the first two months. Also because of the shape it is a little harder to clean too.
A lass pitcher shouldn't be that difficult. It is a simple implement that you need to mix in, pour from and store in the fridge. So with all of these flaws, this things is going in to the recycle bin soon and be replaced.
GREAT PITCHER July 7, 2010 L. Wilhelm (Texas, USA) I bought this pitcher after graduating high school. It's stylish and it keeps whatever beverage you have in the pitcher cold without watering it down. It has a clear plastic container that fits into the liquid in the center of the pitcher that holds the ice. You can change the ice out as needed and the beverage stays fresh for a long time. It's a beautiful, elegant, attractive pitcher that is versatile. I would recommend this Bormioli pitcher to anyone!

smaller than I thought and top is not completley closed so you get fridge orders in the pitcher
It's well worth the money paid. June 12, 2010 Bev G (VICTORVILLE, CA, US) The handle is thick and you feel confident it's going to hold the glass and the contents and not break off. It takes a little bit more room in the refrigerator because of the width but that makes it attractive when sitting on the table during a meal. We purchased two to keep the iced tea quick and available in order to keep from drinking soft drinks which are not good for us and cost too much money. Enjoy!!
perfect for family meals May 31, 2010 Cuerva (SAN ANTONIO, TX, US) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have used this glass jug every weekend for over a month. If my family ate together every night, I would use it every night! For ten dollars it is also a great deal. I read the reviews before I bought it and one or two people complained because the entire jug was not glass. I am glad the lid is plastic or I would have broken it at least twice by now. It pours very nicely. I serve ice tea, koolaid, white wine, water, etc and it truly holds 2 quarts.
I wash it by hand mainly because I wash everything I really like by hand. Something about San Antonio water seems to etch glass in the dishwasher and I dont want to take any chances with this beauty.
