Product Description This chrome-plated steel champagne stopper provides an incredibly secure seal to help keep your Champagne carbonated and fresh. Rubber disk fits snuggly into the bottle opening, and its two hinged-arms fold down and lock into place to complete the sealing process.

A Killer App June 30, 2010 NirvanaMan This is a very simple but quite wonderful product. As I write this, I am sipping from a bottle of bubbly I opened 1.5 weeks ago, and it is still bubbly and lovely. No instructions were provided, but it was relatively self-explanatory. This is a must-add to my bar arsenal.
mostly functional for champagne/sparkling wine only May 28, 2010 Lund Wolfe (Chandler, AZ) I was hoping this would work on wine bottles, too, but it doesn't even begin to fit wine bottles, which are too small for the stopper. It just isn't designed for anything but the champagne/sparkling wine bottles. You will have to get a different type of stopper for wine and other bottles of carbonated beverages.
I've had mixed results with the two sparkling wines I've tried so far even though the bottle tops seem to have the same size and shape. It worked perfectly on a Roederer Estate sparkling wine but it popped off a bottle of Gloria Ferrer sparkling wine about one third the time. You just need to watch it about one minute before putting it back in the frig. If it is going to jump off it will do it within the first minute. The stopper fit feels wiggly and precarious on the bottle but it does work when it works.
A half empty bottle of sparkling wine lost about half the bubbles/effervescence when reopened one week later. That was probably from the initial loss of bubbles and re-stopping with uncompressed air. You should probably finish a bottle of sparkling wine in a day or two, so don't expect miracles.
held carbonation for 16 months! April 28, 2010 L. Adams 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We put an opened champagne bottle in the fridge on New Year's Day 2009, using this stopper. It got forgotten until Easter morning 2010, when we opened it to find full carbonation and good fresh flavor. 16 months later! Surprisingly effective and we just bought two more.
Works great! February 23, 2010 Ethan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Product works great. Poured a glass of champagne, immediately put the stopper on it and reopened the bottle a week later with a good amount of fizz. Stays sealed and is VERY easy to secure.
Excellent bottle stopper January 30, 2010 Terry Ramnanansingh 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Works well with wine bottle. Don' try with small coca-cola bottles. I don't know if it preserves the wine. However it does seal the bottle. When you put on this stopper and turn the bottle upside down, no liquid leaks out.
