I use the Soda Stream machine to carbonate our well water, and it's much better than Calistoga or any of the other designer carbonated waters! Mixing it with fruit juice, or a splash of wine, makes a really refreshing low cal, low sugar drink, and saves money. We've mixed it with various flavor margarita/cosmo non-alcoholic mixers, and they make great "italian" type sodas. I haven't ordered any of the flavors from the Soda Stream company, so I can't comment on those. Overall, I think it's a great product!

My Soda Stream is one of the best kitchen purchases I've ever made (along with my food processor, mixer, blender, etc). I've had it for nearly two years now.
I use it on a daily basis, especially during the summer. My favorite thing to do is just fizzy water with a lemon in it, or sometimes mint leaves from my garden. I do NOT like the syrup flavors that come with the kit, but to be fair, I don't like any soda-pop (regular OR diet). I do, however, make some killer Mojito's with my Soda Stream in the summer. Fresh squeezed lime juice, fresh mint leaves, rum, sugar, and fizzy water. Very good.
I like that my carbon footprint is reduced (I was purchasing carbonated water in cans) now, all I do is exchange a carbonator cylinder every few months (they usually last me about 6 months).. I simply log on to their website, pay the $32.98 for 6 months of carbonated water, and leave the carbonator on my front porch. And NO cans to recycle (or HORRIBLE plastic bottles, most of which don't actually get recycled)! Obviously if there was a family of 4 using it on a regular basis, it wouldn't last 6 months, but I use the heck out of it.
I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with my SodaStream. If you are serious about your fizzy water, GET ONE OF THESE! Also - it's nice you can make it as bubbly as you want. I like mine with a lot of bite! Oh, I also bought one of these for my mom (found hers at a garage sale like a WEEK after buying mine new) and she is as obsessed with hers as I am mine. It is by FAR the best "gift" I've ever given her - really the only one she uses. She likes her fizzy water plain, my dad likes to mix it with juice.

This product is amazing. I'm encouraged to stay more hydrated than before because this carbonates my water so well. It's also handy for making interesting cocktails!

I bought this product at a local BJ's club and I thought it was a great product. Some of the flavors are really good others are not. I called the eight hundred number to place an order with a rep named Audrey. She confirmed the price for each flavor that I wanted to order, but instead of receiving the 9 different flavors that I ordered, I received 10 bottles of the same flavor. I place the order almost 1 month ago and still have not received the product. After several calls and complaints on the time it was taking for them to get the replacement order shipped, a manager named Ed gave me a number of 856-755-3437 to call and complain. Between two business days, I call that number nearly 30 times (no joke) and always received a voicemail message. I left two detailed voicemails and no one has returned my call -STILL!!!!
If you choose to buy this product, make sure you can purchase the flavors locally. If you have to deal with the Soda Stream reps, you'll definitely regret it. Take some stress out of your life and just buy soda from the grocery store until a better company comes along that can offer this product and better customer service!

So far, I have nothing but good things to say about the Sodastream soda maker. I love carbonation and this has made it so much easier to have seltzer water on hand! No more last second trips to the store when we run out. It has cut down on the plastic and glass in our recycling bin from purchasing the bottles as well. Luckily, we found a store in our home town that has the CO2 cartridges, so we don't have to bother with ordering more online and paying shipping. I can imagine that would be expensive and a hassle. Have had this for almost 3 months and haven't had a problem and love it! Great with juice concentrates from health stores or with a squirt of lemon or lime juice!
