Product Description
34Oz/ 1.0L, Black Stainless Steel 34 oz Compact Beverage Bottle. TherMax double wall vacuum insulation for maximum temperature retention. Unbreakable stainless steel interior and exterior. Light, compact design allows larger capacity in a smaller bottle. Leak-proof for no-spill transport.

Amazon.com Review
Morning coffee still steams at the end of a long workday when stored in this briefcase bottle from Nissan. This larger version of the popular FBB500 bottle holds enough cocoa for a small family, and is easily stowed in a daypack or briefcase. While the thermos keeps hot beverages warm, it also excels in keeping cold drinks chilled.

Made from stainless steel, the thermos is both durable and easy to care for. Vacuum insulation keeps fluids secure within the thermos and hot for up to 12 hours. Cold beverages remain cool for up to 24 hours. The lid easily twists on and off, and features a leak-proof design. The briefcase bottle holds up to 34 ounces. Hand wash only. --Jessica Reuling

5 out of 5 stars Nissan Thermos Review   July 29, 2010
Sally
The beverages stayed hot or cold up to 24 hours just like it said! I love the stainless steel. It was shipped well packaged and arrived sooner than I expected it. I may buy another with a pour top.

4 out of 5 stars As Promised   July 19, 2010

Got this thermos for long trips. Holds just enough coffee to make it the 7-8 hours we typically go. Older models have been very "drippy" when pouring, this one stays tightly sealed and pours very consistently.

5 out of 5 stars You can't beat it, but you can beat with it.   July 15, 2010

Convenient. Hardy. Simple. Clean. I'd almost call it elegant. I've used this item every day for more than 8 months.

You can't go wrong with the Thermos branded Nissan bottle. Their vacuum seal is for real, I read the patent and everything (They managed to automate the brazing process in a vacuum furnace, driving the price way down, hopefully no jobs were lost, as someone must still operate the furnace... right?). I am about to purchase the 61 ounce version, as I love my 34 ounce Thermos, but I drink more tea in a day than it can provide in a day. You will not be disappointed by this product.

According to my Pyrex measuring thing I use for steeping, 34 oz is roughly equivalent to four and a quarter cups. I brew five cups at a time, a fairly standard amount for a kettle, so that's enough for a cup after brewing, and a completely full Thermos to take with you. I purchased this thing in early November of last year (2009), and it's been dropped, dented, and used to beat several would-be attackers, but it still retains the essential vacuum. Items in my possession do not last long unless they are made well, and this one definitely fits that bill. I look forward to my purchase of the 61 oz. version, I know I will not be let down. Also, if you need to clean it, I recommend a mix of vinegar, baking soda, and a handful of pebbles. (I'm not kidding about the pebbles. The smaller, the better) DO NOT USE BLEACH, it's bad for stainless steel, and I've been told that it can weaken the braze.

Cleaning Clarification:

Remove the rubber grommet from the stopper before mixing the vinegar and baking soda, as the reaction between the sodium bicarbonate and vinegar will release a lot of CO2, and could possibly create a dangerous situation, (remember the volcanoes we used to make as kids?) You can tighten the stopper and still be able to shake it around with minimal leakage once the grommet is removed, though I recommend you do this over a basin just to be safe. The pebbles will destroy any remnants of caked-on coffee and/or tea residue, I guarantee! I grew accustomed to looking into a black hole of matte-black liquid refreshment containment after 8 months of daily use, and was nearly blinded by the shiny stainless steel gleam after the cleaning process was complete. The vinegar and baking soda may not be necessary, but I haven't tried cleaning with only pebbles just yet. Ask me in another 8 months!

On a normal day I'd fill this bad boy up with tea and honey and not only did it keep me feeling hydrated, but it prevented me from drinking awful sodas or other vending machine drinks. Best purchase I have ever made on Amazon by far.

4 out of 5 stars Great. Keeps Coffee hot all day!   June 22, 2010

We bought this for my husband since he has to have his coffee throughout the day and his company doesn't have a pot. He loves it. He makes the coffee at home in the morning and it's still scolding throughout the day. Good Buy. Would recommend for sure. Also, it holds about 2 large cups of coffee (for him).
